Stand-Alone or Dual Channel
Syntonic Microwave offers its RFT-3100 and RFT-3200 Series Downconverters configured for either Stand-Alone or Dual Channel, Phase Coherent usage models.
This includes Syntonic Microwave’s RFT-3170, RFT-3180 and RFT-3190 fixed IF Tuners with 500 MHz, 1000 MHz and 2000 MHz of instantaneous BW, respectively.
When configured for Stand-Alone usage, the RFT-3100 or RFT-3200 Tuner is a full-featured microwave tuner/downconverter that requires no cabling to/from the companion tuner in order to work. It contains a full set of components and is addressable independent within the LAN.
When configured for Master/Slave mode, the RFT-3100 or RFT-3200 Tuner/Downconverter operates in pairs, where one Tuner is set-up as a Master and the second downconverter is set-up as a Slave. An interface cable interconnects the two devices and all of the Local Oscillators (LOs) from the Master are provided via RF cabling to the Slave. Once communications between the boxes is established, the controls (either from the front panel, the ethernet port or RS-232 serial port) between the user and the Master are then communicated to the Slave.
